menace mark one................Noel Martin, Steve Tannett, Charlie Casey ,Morgan Webster 1976-1979

Menace formed in August 1976 when singer, Morgan Webster, met school friends Noel Martin, Charlie Casey and Steve Tannett at the Hope and Anchor pub in Islington. Their first gig at the now legendary Roxy was attended by Miles Copeland from Step Forward and Illegal Records who signed Menace straight away... The end finally came in late 1979 when after lack of interest from the record companies (due to their records being banned) and a lack of interest from the music press (possibly due to the working class ethics and the working class background of the boys in the band)... Menace’s last single Final Vinyl with the classic songs Last Years Youth and Carry No Banners, which lift the reputation of the band up another notch. After the split up the reputation of Menace continued to grow worldwide...[Click on photo for more]
vermillion and the aces..........Noel Martin, Steve Tannett, Charlie Casey, Vermillion 1980 -1981
Following Menace the boys joined a feisty biker chick called Vermillion who was working with Steve at  Step Forward Records.
the aces..............................................Noel Martin, Steve Tannett, Charlie Casey 1981 - 1984
The Ace's, Noel Steve and Charlie sprang into existence during the encore of Vermillion and the Aces gig at the Lyceum Ballroom  (If anyone knows the date let me know) when Steve launched into the Menace classic GLC .  Needless to say we were sacked by Vermillion and the Aces were born.

menace mark two..................Noel Martin, Charlie Casey, Andrew Tweedie, John Lasey 1998 - 2002
Noel and Charlie finally put Menace back together with old friends John Lacey are Andrew Tweedie... The similarities between the old and new band are striking... The power of the bass and drums are as always in your face, add this to the excellent guitar work and vocals of the new guys and the harmonies, yes harmonies, of Noel and Charlie give Menace a power that hadn’t been heard for many years...[Click on photo for more]
menace mark three.......................Noel Martin, Charlie Casey, Uncle Albert, Oddy 2002 - 2004
Cometh the hour and cometh the man or some bollocks like that, with the crowd eagerly anticipating a great night Menace  took to the stage. I myself had been eagerly awaiting this moment for the past two months seeing one of the greatest punk bands of all time on my home turf. To me bands like menace are and have always been what punk was originally about. They may have aged , they may have two new members but boy they can still kick ass, from the opening chords of  the crowd were putty in their hands.
17/05/10 menace mark Four.................Noel Martin,  Charlie Casey , Johnny Moses, Jasper Hood 2004 - 2009
This line up formed one week before the December 2004 Rebellion in Wolverhampton and London. It was also the line up which lasted the longest of all the line ups so far. Johnny and Jasper both played in a band called Chinese Lungs (Check them out on Myspace)
menace mark five ................................Noel Martin, Charlie Casey, Finn Panton 2009 - now
